Nov 14, 2017: On 12th of November, Sunday. YCS/YSM of Delhi Archdiocese celebrated Cardijn Day in memory of Cardinal Joseph Cardijn the inspiration of YCS.
YCSers from different parishes took part in the program. The program was started by serving the lunch to all the participants. The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Chetan Machado (National Chaplain), by addressing the gathering. After inauguration respect and homage was paid to Joseph Cardijn by everyone present there.
Soon after that Ms. Aparna Babu took the session on what is YCS? What is Cardijn Day? Aims and objectives of YCS which turned out to be very interactive followed by an activity conducted by Mr Ebin Navis, former NEXCO from TN. He also took over the session on the methodology, review of life (case study). He asked cells to share the problems they face and find a solution to it by using SEE, JUDGE and ACT. After the case study students were asked to write their experiences in one or two words, which was followed by inter religious prayer/ peace prayer conducted to make a good society.
Fr. Vijay DYD of Delhi Archdiocese proposed the vote of thanks to each and every member involved in the program and the program was concluded with the YCS clap. The program was energetic and interactive and students learnt many new things from this program and found it helpful.
