Souls of the world
So dark and hard
Difficult to break
Through the core
Stubborn and Rigid
Nowhere out
No light can I see
Groping am I in the dark
Too much to take in
Pain, failure, hatred, prejudice, fear, and frustration.
Until, I met You
It was your light
That lit my world
You gave me a reason
To live a life worthwhile
Through that sacred heart
Of yours my Lord
You broke those rigid walls
Setting me free
And I can proudly say
I’m liberated by the blood of Christ the king.
Your words made my world
So sweet and so pure
My Redeemer, my God
I owe all to you
Christ my king.
