Mother! What a lovely word! If mother was not there,
We would not have existed in this world.
Mother! When I came into this world,
There was no one to take care of me,
But you were there as a sign of God’s love,
You cared for me and did everything you could
When I was in problems you cried instead of me,
All neighbours hated me, but you loved me.
When I was defeated, all laughed and discouraged me,
But you were the one who encouraged me.
You brought me up to this stage,
And now comes my duty towards my mother,
To look after her in her old age,
To give her a comfortable life.
It is a great duty and at the same time it is my responsibility,
That I can do for my loving mother.
