Once a laborer was very hungry after a day’s hard work and was returning home. Hurrying on his way, he had an idea to buy some fruits. And he stopped to buy them at a fruit shop. The fruit seller was a cunning fellow and he cheated the laborer by weighing wrongly. But the laborer was clever enough to notice his trick. When he questioned the fruit seller about his weighing he replied arrogantly that he would have less to carry and that he was trying to help him.
The laborer was greatly annoyed at his reply. He decided to teach the fruit seller a lesson. After receiving the fruits, he paid him two rupees less. The fruit seller got angry and demanded two rupees. The laborer now got a chance to reply him properly. He said that he would have less to count and it was also to help him. From this we learn, “What you get from others is what you have done”. Here it’s “Tit for Tat”.
