#A little girl named Namoe came to the Verona Fathers’ Mission every day where she and many other poor children like herself received their only food of the day. Namoe always came carrying her crippled sister on her back. Together with the other children, Namoe said her prayer before meals, but she did not eat her food at the mission as all the other children did. Instead she took it with her when she left. One day, one of the missionaries who had noticed what she did day after day, followed her.
This is what he said: “On and on Namoe walked, porridge in hand and, her small sister on her back. About three kilometers from the mission, she met her mother, sitting along side the road in the shade. Then the girl sat down, placed the little tin of porridge on the ground, and after saying a prayer, shared her only food for the day with her mother”.

#A boy in North India was about to take his examinations. He was in a Christian school. He prayed for God’s help, and this was his prayer: “Our Father who art in heaven, help me to pass my examinations. May my whole class pass. May the whole school pass. May the whole world pass.”

#A mountaineer who used to climb the top of a high peak for pleasure’s sake, one day invited a friend to climb it up with him. When they reached the top, oh, what a gorgeous sunset they beheld! The mountaineer burst into tears. The friend turned to him and asked: “Why are you crying?”
The mountaineer was quick to reply: “All these years I have come up here alone and filled my soul with this cup of God. Today I am happier than I have ever been, for this is the first time I have shared the glory with someone else.”
