Diwali, the festival of lights is celebrated in the month of November. It is celebrated by lighting deepam and bursting crackers. It’s a day of celebration and a day of joy. The colourful lights in the sky bring happiness to both the young and the old. A lot of sweets and dishes are made and distributed to friends and relatives to celebrate the victory of Rama over Ravana. Hindus go to the temple on this day. They burst crackers, light fireworks and greet each other in their best attire specially chosen for this occasion.
